Nephew Reed (now 10) recently won FIRST PLACE in his age division in the Stravinsky Awards International Piano Competition sponsored by pianist Roger Shields of Champaign-Urbana, IL. Reed performed pieces by C.P.E. Bach and Prokofiev. Visit YouTube.

2009 Celebrates Jonathan Kasper
Mr. Kasper Becomes a Doctor
Jonathan Kasper received the Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee State University.
His dissertation, entitled "The Effects of Short-Term Relaxation Training on High-Achieving Eighth-Grade Students' Test Anxiety and Self-Esteem," included clinical research with young adolescents as well as a lengthy review and discussion of related literature.
Mr. Kasper Builds A New Guitar Studio
The Kaspers are expanding the Kasper Home Music Studios. Later this fall, we'll have a brand new Guitar Studio and KasperMusic Home Office.
Guitar students will use a new garden entrance. Until completion, Guitar Lessons will take place in the sunroom near the 3-car parking pad. Take the stepping stones to the side door and ring the bell at your lesson time. Voice and Piano Students will continue to take the sidewalk to the front door.
Mr. Kasper Completes The Country Music Half Marathon
Prepared and sponsored by his personal trainer, Stephen Taylor (scroll to the bottom of his Webpage), Jonathan combined running, jogging and walking to complete the 13.1-mile Half Marathon in Music City April 25, 2009.
